Studying as a process have gotten us on to where we are. Studies makes us champ and move us to our destinations. Well let's cut the crap, we have to go on HUNT.
THESE ARE 5-WAYS MORE PRODUCTIVELY TO STUDY .
1. CREATING A MEMORY PALACES.
People are struggling but can't grasp what it take to have a code, code that you can break-in the treasure and have your fortune of studies.
*All you need to do is to WALK THROUGH THE ENVIRONMENT YOU CHOOSE (LIKE YOUR HOUSE OR YOUR SCHOOL)
*PLACE OBJECTS IN SPECIFIC PLACES.
Put objects of a certain colour, relate them with what you think will remind you of a topic you've taken or studied.
*MATCH THE OBJECTS WITH THINGS THAT YOU WANT TO LEARN.
You think of where you attached, what was a colour, see your body and brain has that self learning program, a program that relate easily things, A good example is where you see or remember where you will find a spoon and plates. It is because of your brain habit to relate them. So use them to relate topic or colour your studies.. Down here you will see on second tip what we call protégé effect. An effect which uses explanations of the things you've studied to someone as a best way to remember.
2. PROTÉGÉ EFFECT(TEACH SOMEONE WHAT YOU WANT TO LEARN)
As far as teaching someone is concerned,so will be our effort to learn more and acquaint ourself with every detail about what we're going to teach our friends or fellow scholar. They say experience is a best teacher, so as you teach other you will learn twice as much as a person you're teaching.
A STUDY ON "HOW DOES TEACHING SOMEONE IMPACT YOUR LEARNING" IN 2007 students who taught other excelled well in their exams, test than other(and it's simply because when you teach someone you work harder and harder to understand every concept full to explain to someone).
WHAT IF I'M ALONE?...
Let's learn this technique.
IF NO AUDIENCE TO LEARN FROM YOU WHAT TO DO THEN?
well here is where THE FEYNMANN TECHNIQUE COMES. A technique to imagine like your teaching audiences or scholars while infact your just Infront of your own papers.
The technique narrate how to do it as
1. Write the name of a concept on top of blank piece of paper.
2. Write other related concept as if you're teaching someone else.
3. Go back to your paper and look What might be missing or incorrect, then go back on HUNT and re learn it.
4. Review everything and simplify them as much as you can(NOTE use simple language asucha as you can)
Teach someone what you know. |
The importance of this is that it give option of constructing and deconstructing ideas.
3. STUDYING EFFECTIVELY.
Is reading again and again effectively? Highlighting your notes? Keywords harmonic? No nothing like these actually helps you out? There are far more trick and techniques that we pull but still leave us not into a right position we wanted. These tricks includes studying right after class and before class, starting to study early before the syllabus, listening to music... Which actually takes away what we need to be EFFECTIVELY.
I urge you to stop where you have been heading and follow this direction that I am going to be giving.
a. Practice tests.
While test in exams gives you silly feeling, but trust me test of yourself to your own rules gives you courage and confidence to redefine answer to question that your up to.
b. Spacing out your learning.
See learning long hours is good and is good only when you have several break in. If you have few or not at all break it's obvious you will get exhausted and feel like you can't go on what you've started the next day for a beginner and for those of you who is your routine you will loose on your final exams.
Give yourself time to relax, re think and comeback strong, you can do almost of alone activities like listening to music, go for a walk, joining some challenge and when you think like you have got a break then come back in to study far more.

4. THE ZEIGARNIK EFFECT
As we have worked hard to write the last three techniques yet we find it not enough for us to stop.
There is this thing, when your doing something and then someone calls you on an emergency, you will actually respond faster. And during your emergency you will keep thinking on unfinishe or unsettled topic you've been through all the time... And on that not you will be reviewing back what you was studying, and what happen here is what I call as ZEIGARNIK EFFECT That tend to create something special called TASK SPECIFIC TENSION that improve your continuation to your unfinished stuff.
So is like to say with this you will be able to remember alot more than other if you leave your work in the middle and go for a break and return back to continue.
It's like take a break while you have not completed the study.

5. DISTRIBUTED PRACTICES.
Being the last technique today, according to motivation2study on YouTube 254 scientists conducted a research on 14000 and found out that, so many students from spaced free studies were more effectively and performed well that those whose resort was to do cramming.
Bonus tips.
Eat well and health.
Sleep right on time.
Keep explaining what you have learnt to other.
Talk back to yourself.
